Delete Your CheckDMs Data
We respect your right to control your data. This page explains how to request deletion of the data associated with your CheckDMs account and your connected Instagram and Facebook (Meta) accounts.
What Data We Can Delete
- Your CheckDMs account information (name, email, login).
- Instagram and Facebook data accessed through the Meta API (profile information, comment and message permissions you granted).
- Your automations, keyword triggers, message templates, and contact lists stored in CheckDMs.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of all of your connected data in either of the following ways:
- Email request: Send an email to support@checkdms.com from the email address associated with your CheckDMs account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Include your CheckDMs account email and your connected Instagram username.
- In-app: Log in to CheckDMs, go to Settings, and use the “Delete My Account & Data” option to remove your account and all associated data.
What Happens Next
Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity and permanently delete your CheckDMs account data and any Instagram/Facebook data accessed via the Meta API. We will confirm completion by email, typically within 30 days. Some information may be retained only where required by law.
Revoke App Access from Meta
You can also remove CheckDMs’ access directly from your Meta account at any time: go to Instagram or Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, find CheckDMs, and remove it. This revokes our access to your account.
