CheckDMs (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website checkdms.com and the CheckDMs application (the “Service”), an Instagram comment-triggered messaging automation platform for creators and businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information so the Service can function:

• Account information — your name, email address, and login details when you sign up.
• Instagram & Facebook data via the Meta API — when you connect your Instagram professional account, we access the account profile, comments on your posts, and messaging permissions you grant, strictly to deliver the automations you configure.
• Automation data — keyword triggers, message templates, and contact lists you create within the Service.
• Usage & technical data — log data such as IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Service used for security and to improve performance.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the comment-triggered messaging automation you set up.
• To send replies, follow requests, and direct messages on your behalf only after a user interaction (such as a comment) triggers your configured automation.
• To authenticate your account and connect it to Meta platforms via the official Meta API.
• To provide customer support, analytics, and to improve the Service.
• To comply with legal obligations and Meta Platform policies.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with: (a) Meta Platforms, as required to operate Instagram and Facebook integrations through the official API; (b) trusted service providers (such as hosting and payment processing via Razorpay) who process data on our behalf; and (c) authorities where required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see “Your Rights” and our Data Deletion Instructions page).

Your Rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To delete all data connected to your Instagram account, follow our Data Deletion Instructions or email us at support@checkdms.com.

Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections and HMAC verification of Meta webhooks to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
